This project was designed as a "crash pad" for a busy and successful professional man. He travels often for work, and when he is in town, he needs a nice place to relax and re-charge.
Some weekends, he likes to bring his family into the city to enjoy dinner, shows and all the excitement that Manhattan has to offer. Other times, he is entertaining small groups of friends or business colleagues at his home.
This great Foyer (above) features bold colors to add excitement, beautiful grasscloth wallpaper to add warmth, and a custom bar cabinet which is perfect for "breaking the ice" when entertaining people at one of the homeowner's parties.
The entire space features interesting collected items from travels around the globe.
The large Living Room is where the homeowner spends most of his time. Modern furnishings are upholstered in high quality fabrics, and are extremely comfortable to sit on. Silk pillows add an even greater touch of luxury. This is an inviting space with linen string wallpaper, a funky shag rug, warm lighting and a beautiful prominently displayed art collection.
The dramatic Dining Room features a bold solid table, high quality seating, a custom-made leather valance with nailhead trim, beautiful wood blinds and a bold modern light fixture. The table can seat 2-6 people comfortably for casual or more formal meals.
The Master Bedroom is truly a sanctuary after a long trip. Comfort was key in this room which offers solace after a long day or week of travel. A tufted linen headboard is paired with custom-made nightstands and modern lighting. A sepia-toned photograph draws the eye upward and highlights the vertical space
This apartment is a comfortable, yet upscale home that the homeowner loves to use whenever he is in town. Family and guests are always welcome to come over and pop a cork and enjoy all the fun of city life!
